7 Days till...
Yes, we're days away from taking the test of our lives. God, everyone's been stressing about UPCAT...but I say BS, man! BS!!
... But I've started my novena to the omnipresent guiding grace of the Holy Spirit. Just in case. There's nothing like spiritual guidance!
Who am I kidding? I'm freaking stressed out about that test! I'm not prepared. There's no more time to prepare!
But really, I don't even know if the questions are going to be easy or hard. Everyone's saying all different kinds of things. Mostly it's about stock knowledge this, stock knowledge that. E pano kung wala kang stock knowledge, ha? Pano ka na?
That's really what I'm stressing about...the fact that I lack that ability to remember the things I've learned in high school. But actually, that only applies to the Science part...'cause we did the endurance test a few days ago, and I guessed on probably half of the questions. I hate you Biology!!
And those Math word problems. I hate those.
I hate tests.

Dry Spell
Andy, Andy, Andy... you won the doubles title, but you still could've gotten singles...
So, Andy Roddick's first final this year, but why...why'd he blow it? He won the first set 6-4...Blake won the second set. Then there was a third set tiebreak. (7-5) Sucks. Grr. Why'd you blow it, Andy? But at least he's in good form.
Whatever. I hope something miraculous happens in the US Open.
Edit: Wait... Jimmy Connors is now Andy Roddick's coach. Nice.
Fa-fa-faith!
We had our retreat from Wednesday to Friday. Nothing much happened. The place though was really nice and very picturesque. Parang Spain, man! I also enjoyed the company and late night games with Gem, Andrea L. (roomies) and Astrid...pati na rin ang aming kubo/table moments with Patty G.
Our class was fun. I learned that a lot of people have way big problems with family or money, and that's kinda sad. I realized how lucky I am because my "problems" are trivial compared to theirs. It's sad.
Oh yeah, the singing and dancing was kind of fun...except I didn't dig some of the songs. My favorite lines are "Ibigay mu ng tudu. Ibigay mu kay Kristu." and "Who gives the faith for the fa-fa-faith?" Yeah, Bro. Patrick and your very uncoordinated/slightly autistic dancing skills!!
And the brothers...they're insanely freaky!! They wear those brown monk clothing that's really freaky...with the hoods and all. Silas, man!
Fun times. The sessions were kinda useless, though. Except for our "reflection" time, which we used to get some air in the huts. Love the weather...really cold and rainy.

Training for varsity started today. God, how Spartan can it get? My lungs can't handle all the running. I can take the strength stuff, but really, I suck at endurance. Plus, I'm probably the suckiest player out there, even though I am one of the oldest, if not the oldest.
After training I slept for about five hours and woke up at 4 in the afternoon, so you can bet I was really tired...but I will now do lots of push-ups and crunches...plus the stutter thing with the legs, 'cause I suck at that. And I will eat lots of iron-y food, because I feel like I'm mildly anaemic.
Sucks.

Oh my gaww... I just saw Kellie Pickler on Jay Leno and I was laughing my ass off. She's so hilarious!! She did the red carpet on the MTV Movie Awards and it was soo funny! If you didn't catch it, you could see on this link: Click. You should watch it. It's hilarious!
Kellie Pickler should do spots on Leno all the time. She's so funny and she doesn't even know it.

In tennis news, Amelie Mauresmo won the Ladies' Singles in Wimbledon, and the Bryan brothers won Gentlemen's Doubles. Wimbledon Gentlemen's Singles final is tonight (Federer vs Nadal...I'm for Federer!)...as well as the World Cup final (Italy vs France...I'm for Italy!).

I just finished reading George Orwell's 1984. It's a good, dark book. I actually bought that book a couple years ago and was too uninterested to read it since I kinda got bored with the first few chapters. So I thought of reading it for my book report. It's good.
I am now compelled to read more classics.

Edit: FEDERER WON! Awesome. You may be clay court king, Nadal, but everywhere else Federer's still the best. Hopefully, Andy Roddick will do good in the US Open. :D
Ok..big shocker. I checked the Indesit ATP Rankings, and Andy's not in it. At least not in the top 10. When did that happen?? He's never been out of the top 5 since, what, 5 years ago? Dang. That sucks. Omg. That sucks.
Superman Returns
I am never going to watch any movie on the Saturday of its release ever again. It's actually more bearable to watch it on the first day of its release than on the weekend after. There are less annoying people...and less annoying children.
I couldn't enjoy the movie because the theater was so noisy, we were seated at the fourth row, and the theater wasn't surround sound. During, the first third of the movie, when there was any talking, I couldn't understand a thing. I didn't understand what Jor-El said...I didn't understand what Martha Kent was saying to Clark. I was so annoyed.
I'm going to watch the movie again in a few weeks' time so I can do the movie justice...'cause it's a real good film. But when your seatmates are repeating "Ang hot" or "Ang gwapo" over and over, it's bound to get annoying. And you sort of think, "Maybe I should've watched this movie alone."
I should say that Brandon Routh is good. Kevin Spacey as Lex was you know...fine. But I didn't like Kate Bosworth as Lois. It wasn't a good match. James Marsden's character was cool. And Lex's sidekick, played by Parker Posey, is too much in the film.
Also, dang Poj...you think the guys in front of us were funny? There were soooo annoying. At wala kang taste kung di mo gusto yung Superman!!

I watched Andre Agassi's last match on Wimbledon. He will, of course, be retiring after the U.S. Open. He played against Nadal, and he lost on straight sets, but he fought to the end. It was a good match...and afterwards, I was clapping with the rest of the audience.
And really, I don't know what to say. I'm disappointed. Andy Roddick lost to Andy Murray in the third round. It sucks. And England lost in the World Cup. Boo.
Oh, wait a minute. I just saw the scoreboard. It looks like Dmitry Tursunov has defeated World No.4 Ivan Ljubicic in five sets. Woah. I didn't expect that one. I saw him play once and he looks like an albino. Heehee.
But Andy...why?
