X-men, French Open, et al.

Darn. With the Baguio trip and all...I totally forgot about Roland Garros!! Darnit. I only remembered when I saw the whole Maria Sharapova struggling in the first round thing in the newspaper. And just now...I found out that Andy Roddick retired midway through his first round match because he aggravated the ankle injury he got last week. Darn. (There's always Wimbledon!)

Nothing significant happened in Baguio. It was kind of a drag having to go "sight-seeing" because we were with a family that didn't get to go much there...so you know, we were dragged to Burnham Park (I hate it there. Now they turned the skating rink into a bike/skateboard rink. No one even skates there anymore. Inline skates, I mean.) and one of the strawberry farms.

I did get to watch X-men again. I watched the ending...but I didn't understand it. So I text messaged my cousin to ask what the hell happened there...so she explained. The whole thing that happened was explained in the movie after all. But I wasn't paying attention the first time I saw it...and the second time around I didn't catch the first part, and I didn't want to wait around for thirty minutes for the movie to show again. So darn. I'm just gonna buy the DVD when it comes out. I wanna say again that X-men rocks, and: Watch it!!

Youtube Mania

Tomorrow we're going to Baguio for the what's like the millionth time. We go there every year.. and it's not like the place changes. (With the exception of the erection of SM Baguio, of course. Before that, we had to go to those mini-malls that sucked like hell.). But hey...at least I'm getting out of the house.

Anyway...I saw this on TV...so I looked for it in youtube.com and it's soo cool. It's the Simpsons opening scene with real people. Cute. Click.

My cousin just informed me that there was something about Xavier after the credits of X-men 3..and I fucking missed it. Dammit. Why do they have to do that?? So... I'm gonna watch it again in Baguio. Hoorah! Something to look forward to.

"I'm the Juggernaut, bitch!"

Dang. X-men was so good. I love it to bits! Angel is now my favorite X-men character:

I don't know for other people...but this would definitely be my favorite among the three X-men movies. (It's my favorite, but not necessarily the best one.) God...I could watch it over and over and over. It's beautiful.

I can't elaborate 'cause I can't say anything without spoiling parts of the movie...but I just wanna say: Please watch the movie. It's really good. Also, prepare for some heartache...and some kickass action scenes.

[The downside to watching in the cinema, though, is the people there. They just don't know when to shut up. It's annoying.]

You know, it's a real shame that so many people would probably be more interested in watching The Da Vinci Code instead of X-men 3. Don't be one of them.

Also, did you know the guy who plays Colossus is 6'8" tall? Woah.

Woah! Who got killed off?

Well...you can see it on my tag-board. Poj said in her blog that Marissa Cooper dies in the season 3 finale of the OC. So I said you don't know for sure since it hasn't aired yet. But then I saw it on Yahoo. Click here for the news article.

Not such a big shocker for me, since it's been speculated for weeks. The other three (Ben, Adam and Rachel) are gonna come back, I think. Plus Kaitlin Cooper to do the whole high school bit.

But now that I know all the details of the finale from the article, I feel like it's a bit of a letdown. I mean, why would you kill off a central character (unless it's done in a sophisticated Dawson's Creek way)? Obvious...Mischa Barton wanted to move on to bigger and better things. Oooh...selfish much.

I just hope the OC season 4 would still be good, given that they're now off to college...and since Kaitlin's a bit on the annoying side.

Bucket Drummer

Arr! The pain of not being able to watch The Da Vinci Code. You know, I was so psyched a few days ago...then that damn MTRCB came out with their R-18 rating. So yes...I'm at home right now.

My dad said he'll help sneak me in, but whatever. I've been to Rotten Tomatoes to check out the reviews, and wow...it's rotten (14%). Says it's too "talky," and I'd imagine it to be. They probably made it too faithful. Another review said that if the movie was an ice cream flavor, it'd be vanilla. Haha.

I just wanna see Paul Bettany, you know. And how they do the movie. It took me about six months to get over that whole attacking Christianity thing...and there's a lot of bull in that book anyway. I'm more excited to see X-men next week.

***

This is for all the Johnny Harper fans, especially Poj. Well, Poj and I are probably the only Johnny fans here...but there'll be a lot more once they start showing him on the OC.

Click.

That's footage of Ryan Donowho and his bucket drumming days in the New York subway. Too good.

So...Poj, Francine and I played tennis in Celeb today. Such fun... and such sweat. And such pain. My legs are sort of fatigued right now since I haven't been "moving" a lot these past few weeks.

But yeah, it's nice to get back in the groove. I haven't played tennis for months. So I was sort of sluggish most of the time...but my volleying was good, in my opinion.

Also...it was nice finally getting to talk about the OC, Johnny (Ryan Donowho!), our American Idol woes, and stuff like that. Poj kasi...di na nag-oonline!

Anyway, I watched The Squid and the Whale today, and may I say: What a peculiar movie. After it was over, I was like "Am I supposed to understand that? Does that make me stupid if I don't? I thought this movie was supposed to be funny. I feel so stupid." Shit. That was really going through my head. I honestly didn't know what to make out of the movie. Or maybe it was just too intelligent for me to process.

"It must said, however, that many will find the ending of The Squid and the Whale frustrating, as if [Noah] Baumbach had simply stopped writing and tacked on only the most perfunctory of resolutions. An argument can be made that there's no tidy way to wrap up a story like this -- families and their problems don't just end, after all -- but given the care with which he treated the rest of his material, the way in which he ties everything off seems a bit arbitrary."

Why?? Chris??

No!! I'm so pissed off it's not even funny. How could they?!!

I'm certainly not watching the rest of American Idol after that. What's the point anyway?? I wanted Chris to win. I like Katharine and all...but seeing as the other two people left are my hatest...I'm certainly not watching.

When Ryan said it I screamed so loud. This is not fair. What is wrong with America?? This is not fair.

I mean, Suspicious Minds was so good. Grr.

Whatever. American Idol is whacked. I'm never seeing it again in a different light. This isn't a Latoya London (season 3) situation...'cause frankly, I knew she wouldn't win. But this time everyone knew Chris would win.

Now who are left? Gray-haired weirdo...pirate-looking weirdo...and Katharine. Suck it. I'm so pissed.

Whatever. This is bullshit.

Edit: Someone fucked with my tag-board...so I had to delete all the nonsense. Darnit. Now only two posts are left. Whatever.

OC fever.

Grrr... I'm freaking out. I don't know what happens after episode 18 of the OC season 3. I knew when I bought the DVDs that they weren't complete 'cause season 3 won't end until May 18. Grr. I can't download episodes 19-24 'cause our DSL's not built for downloading 300+ mb videos. Grr. But I'll be patient.

I swear I will end the OC season 3 the same time America does.

Hay!! Poj, if you're reading this. I'm dyyying to talk about the OC!! Shit! Anong episode mo na ba??

Also, Johnny is a hottie!! And I cannot believe how the writers could do that to him!! Why??? (Like anyone understands.)

Well, yesterday I found out there are some sports I'm not naturally good at. And golf is one of them.

Dang.

I'm so melancholic today...as well as yesterday...and even for the rest of the month probably. I just blew my future...all in one fine Saturday morning.

Whatever. For now...I'm diverting myself from all the pain by having a The OC season 3 marathon till my eyes hurt. I've already finished episodes 1 - 10 I think. 7 of which I watched yesterday. Awesome.

Also, I don't know why...I used to obsess about finding out news about X-men...but yesterday was the only time I actually looked at the poster with the X-men on it instead of Wolverine's claws. I haven't even seen the trailer. Why??

Shit!! I can't wait to watch X3!! I don't care about watching The Da Vinci Code...as long as I watch X-men!!! I just hope Halle Berry's not in every freakin shot...'cause I'm gonna flip. You know, I never thought she was so demanding until there were all these news about her not being in the movie because she wanted more screen time. That Oscar's gone to her head.

How many new X-men are there? Turns out there's a new Shadowcat (well, there's a new one in every film...but this girl's lucky 'cause Shadowcat's part of the X-men now)...and a new guy with wings called Angel. Plus, Colossus (but he was in the last one), Callisto, and Juggernaut.

And they say a Filipina is playing Psylocke, the evil assassin. Oh woah. I also just found out Kelsey Grammer (from Frasier) is playing Hank McCoy. Cool!!

I'm so excited!

It's over.

Our review classes are over...but I actually have mixed emotions about it. I mean, it beats doing nothing. But what I certainly won't miss is the "crowd"... and the fatigue I get after answering all those mock tests.

I mean, the people are nice and all...but there's just something that makes me feel uneasy around them. I dunno. I'd definitely miss our gossip and laughtrip moments (i.e. mimicking how boys laugh in their super looow voices).

Hay, whatever. Tapos na yun. Sana'y matuloy na lang ang tennis thing with Poj and Francine...so I can do something. Or maybe golf with my cousin and siblings. Pero I feel like manlalata ako until next week. Grr.

On a different note, we've already bought our school supplies. Heehee. I know it's geeky, but I like wrapping my books and notebooks. :D

Pero I just remembered. May refresher courses pa June 10th...so hindi pa nga tapos yun.

Edit : Just wanted to share something. Click. That's my third year class, and I just found it funny. Bat parang ang fair-skinned ko dun?? Before ba yun ng immersion o what? At bat nasa pinaka harap ako? Hehe.

Oh wait. That was the first day we got back from Immersion. Kaya mamula-mula pa ko. Hehe. Look at my hands. They're brown.

Coolness.

Betsy and I stalked someone today. Some fun times. Yes, we're manic people...

And we'd do it again if we had the chance!! :D
