So...Poj, Francine and I played tennis in Celeb today. Such fun... and such sweat. And such pain. My legs are sort of fatigued right now since I haven't been "moving" a lot these past few weeks.
But yeah, it's nice to get back in the groove. I haven't played tennis for months. So I was sort of sluggish most of the time...but my volleying was good, in my opinion.
Also...it was nice finally getting to talk about the OC, Johnny (Ryan Donowho!), our American Idol woes, and stuff like that. Poj kasi...di na nag-oonline!
Anyway, I watched
The Squid and the Whale today, and may I say: What a peculiar movie. After it was over, I was like "Am I supposed to understand that? Does that make me stupid if I don't? I thought this movie was supposed to be funny. I feel so stupid." Shit. That was really going through my head. I honestly didn't know what to make out of the movie. Or maybe it was just too intelligent for me to process.
"It must said, however, that many will find the ending of The Squid and the Whale frustrating, as if [Noah] Baumbach had simply stopped writing and tacked on only the most perfunctory of resolutions. An argument can be made that there's no tidy way to wrap up a story like this -- families and their problems don't just end, after all -- but given the care with which he treated the rest of his material, the way in which he ties everything off seems a bit arbitrary."
