Since there's nothing to do but watch tv/dvds...so yesterday, I watched 50 First Dates on DVD, and today I watched The Calcium Kid and Troy back to back on HBO.

50 First Dates

I feel so lame not watching this movie before. We've had the DVD for the longest time, and my dad even bought the soudntrack after watching the movie. It's the nicest romantic comedy I've ever seen...and it's also the saddest story ever. I kind of felt before I watched the movie that maybe it wouldn't be that good...because the trailers they showed on TV didn't say much and just showed Drew Barrymore whacking the hell out of Rob Schneider. I said to myself that I wasn't going to watch a movie that has that in it. Stupid, I know... But for me to watch a film, the trailer and other promotional stuff have to move me. I just decided to watch this movie because my friends were all raves about it. And they were right.

50 First Dates is such a beautiful movie...I cried a lot...especially when Adam Sandler was seeing "Forgetful Lucy"...and the ending was sort of bittersweet, you know. And the music does a hell of a nice job in carrying the movie. I was laughing my head off when Adam Sandler was doing his weird face and singing his heart out to the Beach Boys while sailing his boat. The movie has all the Adam Sandler weirdness to it without going too far, which is cool. I highly recommend watching this movie if you haven't.

Calcium Kid

It's a weird movie, I guess...but it was fun to watch nonetheless. Orlando Bloom is still hot despite his goofy haircut.

Troy

This is such a nice movie. I don't know why I didn't finish it the first time I watched it on DVD. Ok, I remember...I was already sleepy so I dozed off halfway through. Pero shit...I cried so much during this movie...even in the part where Priam was talking to Achilles asking for Hector. And I cried when Patroclus died...I cried when Hector died...and I really really cried when Achilles died. I love this movie...but I'm not up for watching it again, of course. It's too long for my taste. Brad Pitt is soo hot...with his butt and his abs and his face...
