London Is Calling

I canNOT believe that Million Dollar Baby won. I stayed up until 11:30 just to finish the Oscars because I was waiting for the Aviator to win Best Picture. And I don't believe it. Some time around 10 dad came home and told me he went online and found out that Million Dollar Baby won. It is such a travesty!! I'm so pissed at the Academy! And also, I'd have also picked Martin Scorsese for Best Director. But no, it went to Clint.

I've already watched the Aviator, Ray and Million Dollar Baby (which are the three most likely to win)...so I know what I'm talking about. Yes Jamie Foxx deserved to win...and so did Hilary Swank and Morgan Freeman. Supporting actress I knew would go to Cate Blanchett and she deserves it. But puh-lease!! Aviator was, for me, the best movie out of the three and it should've won Best Picture!! Whatever.

And my thoughts on Million Dollar Baby...it was a good movie. But I think Maggie Fitzgerald's road to the top thing (the boxing matches part) was kinda short...I mean, it got less screen time. And the scenes after that (the sort of plot twist) came too soon and were dwelled on too much. That's just my opinion. Hilary Swank and Morgan Freeman were great. And I can't believe how scarred Clint Eastwood's face is!! In the Oscars you won't see it 'cause he probably got Botox or something.

Anyway...we have our food sale tomorrow. So the rest of the week's gonna be less hectic after that, thank goodness. If I have the time in the next few days I'll be watching Finding Neverland, which was also nominated for Best Picture.

P.S. Diba medyo kahawig ni Mrs. Santos si Hilary Swank? Hahaha! Also, si Beyonce sa Oscars...daming costume changes!!
